Home Based ABA Services
Our home-based ABA program implements an individualized and developmentally appropriate program to meet each individual’s needs. Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) work together with the child’s family to regularly assess the child’s language, communication, social, play, and daily living skills,as well as challenging behaviors, to help foster more communication and independence. We work on improving a client’s functional communication, language development, independence with daily routines, social and leisure skills. We have a critical focus on parent training to support families and caregivers in order to achieve optimal outcomes for our clients. Our programming may include a variety of instructional strategies that fall under the ABA umbrella. These are evidence-based strategies that include but are not limited to Discrete Trial Teaching, Natural Environment Teaching and Fluency Instruction.
Direct services are delivered by a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Each client’s individualized program is designed and supervised by a BCBA regularly.Data collection is utilized to evaluate the client’s progress across each goal area and make changes as needed.
Early Intervention Specialty Services for Young Children with Autism
We are contracted with many Early Intervention Programs across Eastern Massachusetts to provide intensive ABA services to young children ages 0 to 3. This begins with a referral from the EI program assigned to the family’s residential area. We collaborate with the Early Intervention Service Coordinator and family throughout the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) process to assess the child, develop treatment goals,and providedirect services and consultation to the family in order to promote a comprehensive approach to therapy. Our services are delivered within the client’s natural environment, often the home or day care setting.

Center-Based ABA Services
Intensive Intervention Program
Boston Behavior Learning Centers is pleased to offer full-day comprehensive, center-based ABA services in a highly structured setting to young children up to the age of 6 years. Additionally, we offer afternoon sessions for clients seeking services after school in a more controlled setting, as there are times when the home setting is not an optimal place for treatment. Children will participate in one to one intensive behavior intervention with the support of a Registered Behavior Technician to foster the generalization of skills across different people and contexts. A BCBA is on-site to supervise and monitor each child’s program. We target many areas of the child’s development including language, socialization, play and self-help skills including toilet training. Parents are invited to participate in consultation services with the child’s BCBA at our center to observe their child’s program, discuss management of care as well as carry over of skills to the home environment. These services are offered Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6 pm in Newton.
Social Enrichment Program
Our Social Skills program focuses on teaching our clients the critical social skills that they may not learn independently within their natural environment at home or school. The goal of our program is that these learned skills will then be utilized adaptively into their everyday lives, across all social settings.
In our groups, we are able to give our clients the opportunity to learn social skills in a structured, yet natural environment, among well-matched peers. Our social skills programming may include a variety of instructional strategies that fall under the ABA umbrella. Within a group setting, we foster a variety of skills including age-appropriate play skills, social reciprocity, problem solving and perspective taking all while engaged in shared activities and group projects. All social skills groups are led by highly experienced Registered Behavior Technicians and supervised by a BCBA. We track progress by collecting data on your child’s individual objectives to best meet each individual’s social needs.
We offer rolling admissions into our social skills groups. Sessions meet regularly for 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the age of the client. We give families updates on group activities following all sessions and written progress reports twice annually. These services are offered in the afternoons on weekdays and on Saturdays from 8:30 am to 3 pm in Newton.
Consultation, Training and Development*
We will work with public school districts to consult or provide services to students in a school or home setting. Additionally, we offer parent training, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), individually designed Behavior Intervention Plans and ongoing or temporary support to ensure appropriate access to specialized services or to remain in compliance with a student’s IEP. We also offer training and development to districts wishing to enhance their professional development to their teaching and paraprofessional staff. Some areas of professional development include inclusion practices, conducting assessments, addressing students with complex needs and documenting the effectiveness of school programming.
Independent Education Evaluations*
Families or school districts may seek an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) of a student’s school program to determine if it meets a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restricted Environment (LRE). Our evaluators will assess the program by conducting a record review, formal observation(s) as well as interview the team to offer an unbiased evaluation, summary and recommendation for school programming. We take a diplomatic approach to secure a positive relationship among stakeholders and foster the way to clear decision-making throughout the IEE process. *Not covered by insurance. Services not covered by insurance may be privately procured by families or funded by school districts.
